Hi, I’m Shelley Fan.

I’m a UX Designer with four years of experience in the consumer audio field. I’ve designed across multiple platforms, from mobile screens to HiFi front-panel displays.

With a background in psychology, I pay close attention to how users interact with products. Seeing how people react to my designs is always fun and often surprising.

Outside of work, I enjoy photography and reading detective stories. Noticing patterns in how people use technology often inspires my projects.

Interests and hobbies

Outside of design, my time is often spent with a camera, a good book, or a fresh cup of coffee in the making. Photography slows life down — capturing a fleeting ray of light, a quiet street, or a small moment to revisit in the future.

Reading is another constant, especially detective stories from the UK and Japan, along with books on psychology and UX. Each one offers a new perspective and sparks ideas that connect to both my work and my own reflections.

Coffee brewing is a daily ritual, with latte art adding a mix of focus and playfulness. These small joys are more than hobbies — they’re moments of inspiration and grounding that keep curiosity alive.

The shape of my design

I design not only beautiful frames, but more importantly, for the convenience and ease of users. I care about how people actually feel when they’re using something I made, whether it’s easy, smooth, and just works without extra thought. With my background in psychology, I’m always curious about the little ways people interact with design, and I bring those observations into my designs to make them feel more comfortable and natural to use.
